Washougal shares the Gorge mouth with Camas, and shares its weather. East winds funnelling out of the Columbia River Gorge make this one of the few places in the county where a freeze is a genuine annual risk rather than a rarity, and the properties closest to the river see it worst. Away from those few days, the damage here looks like the rest of Clark County: seven months of rain, ground that never fully dries, and water finding the lowest way into a crawl space.
- Frozen and burst pipes during east-wind events off the Gorge
- Standing water in crawl spaces after prolonged rain
- Storm damage on exposed riverfront and hillside lots
